NICE issues Rheumatoid Arthritis Guidelines
The National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) has issued new guidelines for the management of Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) in adults. The new advice outlines diagnosis and referral processes for the condition, as well as approaches to management of symptoms with both medication and other therapeutic methods.
Arthritis Action welcome the updated recommendations and are pleased to see that they include physiotherapy, occupational therapy, specialised exercise programmes and psychological support, all aspects of our self-management approach.
