22 April 2020
Arthritis Action invites you to take part in a new campaign to raise vital funds to help support UK’s charities. The 2.6 Challenge launches on Sunday 26 April – what should have been the date of the 40th London Marathon.
All you need to do is come up with an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26 and fundraise or donate to Save the UK’s Charities.
The 2.6 Challenge is open to anyone of any age – the only requirement is that the activity must follow the Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
It’s a simple and fun way for everyone to do your bit to help save the UK’s charities.
The chosen activity, based around the numbers 26 or 2.6, should suit your skills and be completed on or from Sunday 26 April. It can be something as simple as pledging to run 2.6 miles as your daily exercise or doing 26 minutes of yoga, juggling for 26 minutes (or maybe just 2.6 minutes) non-stop.
Check out the Challenge ideas page on the 2.6 website for ideas and inspiration. And don’t worry if you are not able to get out of your house or flat for now – you can do your 2.6 challenge anywhere inside too! There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time.
The Arthritis Action team are even getting in on the action by working on a joint challenge. To follow our progress or to donate, visit our Just Giving page.
Whatever you can do, you can be a part of it – the main thing is to get active, have fun and pledge whatever they can to support your chosen charity: Arthritis Action!
