Arthritis Action Announces New Chair of Trustees

We are pleased to announce the appointment of Tom McLaughlan as our new Chair of Trustees. Tom steps into the role, having been a Board Member since 2022, succeeding Dan Torjussen-Proctor.

Newly appointed Chair, Tom McLaughlan said: “I’m thrilled to take up the baton from Dan who did so much great work for the Charity since he first joined the Trustee Board back in 2013. I’ll work hard to build on his success and do what I can to help the Charity deliver on its mission.

Arthritis has touched my life in many ways, from two great-aunts, my mother whose osteoarthritis led to six joint replacements, and my own ankylosing spondylitis. It seems to wind its way through our family tree like an overgrown and unwelcome nettle.

I relish the opportunity to assist the Charity in its efforts to reach out to everybody that’s touched by arthritis.”
