The Arthritis and Musculoskeletal Alliance (ARMA) have published a joint statement on behalf of its member organisations including Arthritis Action, regarding possible disruptions of health services in the event of a second covid-19 wave.
In the statement ARMA urge for non-urgent musculoskeletal (msk) services not to be put on hold, stressing the importance of continuing services such as replacement surgery, rheumatology, and community msk to ensure the wellbeing of people with long-term pain conditions, and avoid adding to the already-delayed waiting lists.
