Arthritis Action launches new Mental Health Directory
Arthritis Action is pleased to launch a new Mental Health Directory to help people with long term conditions, such as arthritis, find suitable mental health services to support them.
The new tool consists of a listing of 52 NHS and charitable organisations that offer mental health services, spanning 48 regions. The directory is organised by Region, so people can quickly find what area is accessible to them, and identify services that are right for them.
Shantel Irwin, CEO of Arthritis Action, says:
“It is no surprise that people with arthritis report mental health challenges when living with long-term pain. There is limited mental health support available to people with arthritis and other long-term conditions, and it was surprising to learn that people with arthritis often don’t know where and how to access mental health services to deal with the mental health effects of arthritis. We are therefore delighted to launch this new directory to help direct people to mental health services and organisations available to them.”
